Privacy policy.

Your voice, transcripts and notes stay on your iPhone. Here’s what that means, in plain words.

The short version.

Talet does not require an account. Microphone audio, transcripts, organized notes and attached images are processed and stored on your iPhone. Talet does not upload that content to its own servers or to a remote AI service, and does not use it to train models. Talet does not include advertising or behavioral analytics.

Your microphone and your words.

Talet asks for microphone permission so you can record notes and use voice typing. Speech recognition and note organization run on your device. When the keyboard’s voice session is active, iOS may show a microphone indicator while Talet is ready to record. You can end the session in Talet or revoke microphone permission in iPhone Settings.

When you use the Talet keyboard.

Talet turns speech into text on your iPhone. Full Access lets the keyboard communicate with the Talet app for voice typing; it does not change where Talet transcribes your voice. Talet does not send your dictated text or keyboard content to a remote AI service.

Text you insert into another app becomes available to that app. If you send a message, post online or save text in a cloud service, that app’s privacy practices apply. Sharing and exporting from Talet are also actions you choose.

Storage, deletion and exports.

Notes, recordings, transcripts and images live in the app’s protected local storage and are excluded from device backups by default. Deleting a note removes its associated local content. Deleting the app or losing your phone may permanently remove your Talet content. Export anything you want to preserve before deleting the app or changing phones.

Secure model downloads.

Talet downloads speech-model files before first use and may download model updates. Apple App Attest helps our Cloudflare-hosted service verify requests from the app without asking you to create an account. The service keeps an attested public key, security counters, verification digests and limited download-usage and time metadata to prevent unauthorized downloads and replayed requests. Temporary authorizations expire; inactive registration records expire after 180 days.

Apple and Cloudflare process technical connection and attestation information, such as request times and IP addresses. Our gateway does not store raw IP addresses. Download requests do not contain your microphone audio, transcripts, notes or keyboard text.

Purchases and Talet Pro.

Apple processes App Store purchases. Talet uses RevenueCat to verify subscription status and restore purchases. RevenueCat receives an app-specific customer identifier, App Store transaction and subscription information, and technical app or device information needed to provide that service. Talet does not receive your full payment-card details.

Talet does not send RevenueCat your microphone audio, transcripts, notes, images, contacts or keyboard text. Read Apple’s privacy policy and RevenueCat’s privacy policy for information about their services.

The free voice allowance.

Talet stores voice-usage counts and entitlement information locally to manage the free allowance. Device-only Keychain records may remain after the app is deleted and reinstalled, so reinstalling does not necessarily reset that allowance. These records do not contain the words you said or your recordings.

This website and support.

This website is hosted on Cloudflare. We do not add advertising trackers, behavioral analytics or marketing cookies. Cloudflare may process ordinary connection metadata and security logs to deliver and protect the site. Fonts and app screenshots are served from this website.

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. Please share only what is needed to help with your question. Links to other websites are governed by those websites’ own policies.
