Your voice is the most personal data you produce.
Voice notes hold half-formed thoughts, names, health details, business plans. Things you would never post. Once audio reaches someone else's server, you are trusting their security, their retention policy, their staff, and their next pivot. The only privacy policy that cannot be rewritten is the one where the data never leaves.
Your thoughts stay close.
Your voice becomes text and your thoughts become notes right on your iPhone. There is no trip to a remote AI service. Your recordings and original words stay alongside your notes, ready for you to revisit.
When Talet connects.
Talet needs an internet connection for initial setup, model updates and purchases. Your recordings and notes are never part of those requests. Once setup is complete, you can record and transcribe even in airplane mode. Our privacy policy explains the limited technical information involved.
What the cloud tools do instead.
Many popular AI note-takers upload audio for server-side transcription and attach recordings to an account. Some offer strong encryption or zero-retention controls, but a remote system still has to receive and process the content. Talet removes that transfer from the core workflow.
No account is a feature.
Talet has no sign-up because the app does not operate an account database. There is no Talet password to reuse, no cloud notebook to breach, and no note-content dataset for Talet to train on.
The privacy trade-off is real.
Notes are protected on your iPhone and excluded from backups by default. That also means deleting the app or losing the phone can permanently remove them. Talet keeps the original transcript and provides sharing and export so you can deliberately move anything you want to preserve elsewhere.

Does Talet send my voice to the cloud?
No. Talet turns your voice into text and organizes your notes right on your iPhone. Your recordings and words aren’t sent away for processing. You choose what to share.
Does Talet need an account?
No Talet account, sign-in or email is required. Apple handles App Store purchases, and secure model downloads verify the app without asking you to register.
Can I use Talet for free?
Yes. Talet includes 1,000 voice words each week. Talet Pro is US$3.99/month or US$29.99/year and removes the weekly voice-word limit. US App Store prices. Prices in other countries may differ and are shown in the app before purchase. Saved notes remain readable and exportable if you stop subscribing.
Does Talet need internet?
An internet connection is needed for model downloads, purchases and restoring subscriptions. Once its models are ready, Talet records and transcribes on your iPhone, including in airplane mode.
How are my notes stored?
Notes are stored on your device with iOS complete file protection and are excluded from backups by default. That protects privacy, but it also means deleting Talet or losing the phone can permanently remove notes unless you export them first.
Which iPhones are supported?
Talet requires an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone running iOS 26, and the first release transcribes English.
